Job Description

M&F Talent is working with a client in the cultivation/ hydro growing media & technology field that is looking to onboard a new Account Manager for Northern California. Our client is internationally established in the hydroponics and horticulture industries. They offer cutting-edge solutions for modern horticulture operations.

Our client’s product base includes growing media that is used in hydroponic growing systems and plant propagation.  They also offer software, dosing systems, and other tools used by growers in controlled environment agriculture and cannabis industries.

Location: Northern California  

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Regional Sales Manager of the Western US
  • Generate sales through developing and maintaining key relationship
  • Focus business development efforts on distributors, growers, and consultants in California
  • Investigate and manage sales efforts in given territory
  • Develop relationships with retail customers and commercial growers
  • Follow team sales plans to delivery budgeted figures
  • Work independently to achieve company objectives
  • Manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Stay organized and report progress to management
  • Communicate benefits of the product to hydroponic retail stores
  • Discuss product attributes with commercial cannabis growers
  • Travel 100 days of the year

Qualifications:

  • BA Degree in Horticulture, Business, or similar
  • 3+ years sales experience in the cannabis, hydroponics, or horticulture industries
  • Ability to establish rapport with distributors, customers (in- and external) and stakeholders
  • Very good understanding of company proposition and marketing/sales strategies
  • Written and spoken language of responsible market fluently
  • Excellent commercial (sales-) skills. Being able to negotiate
