The ideal candidate is highly ambitious and able to work independently as they develop business with commercial greenhouse growers and other controlled environment agriculture customers / distributors. Our client manufactures a line of horticultural tech products, including atmospheric controllers, fertigation systems, and garden management software. They are a respected brand with a solid footprint in both commercial cannabis cultivation and traditional crop production.  Location: Southern / Central California  Responsibilities: Increase revenues through customer acquisition, retention, & business expansion. Maximize territory sales potential through prospecting and lead generation. Develop aggressive sales plan to maximize territory exposure to meet/ exceed objectives Present customer solutions and help users find solutions to horticulture industry needs. Manage all aspects of the customer experience. Increase company visibility and exposure with the top distributors and greenhouse manufacturers in the horticulture / hydroponics space. Participate at industry trade shows and events. Regularly schedule on-site sales calls and presentations with the sales team members. Contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Study the CEA marketplace and how the company’s products are applied within both greenhouses and grow rooms. Qualifications: BA Degree in Business, Horticulture, or similar (highly preferred). 5-7 years of Territory Sales experience. 2-3 years of Horticulture / CEA industry sales experience. Experience selling technical products (highly preferred). Experience developing relationships with distributors and manufacturing companies. Expert knowledge of the cultivation technology field. Willing to travel (30% of the year). Proficient with the MS Office Suite and comfortable using social media. Experienced working remotely with group meeting tools (Skype, Zoom, etc.).

Our client is an established greenhouse design-build firm located in the Bay Area.  They provide support in the areas of design, equipment selection, and turn-key greenhouse structures.  This company is currently looking for a Jr. Engineer/ Project Engineer.  This Engineer (or agricultural specialist) will support the engineering team in the areas of design, analysis, proposals, and technical support for greenhouse clients.   Location: Berkeley, CA   Responsibilities: Consults with greenhouse companies/ clients on the design, layout, and equipment selection with the goal of producing high value crops at maximum productivity in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Work with Systems Engineer to create mechanical drawings, construction drawings/ blueprints, and conduct other studies and analyses as it relates to greenhouse/ controlled environment systems and structures. Ability to complete fluid dynamic and heat transfer/thermodynamic calculations relating to greenhouse energy balances, pump/fan sizing and general mechanical design. Work with internal team and outside vendors to prepare cost estimates, proposal, project schedules, and related documents. Proposes innovative solutions and strategizes with team to resolve concerns and conflicts Stays current with industry trends by participating in seminars and training events and shares knowledge with team. Qualifications:   Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Biological/Agricultural Engineering from an accredited University (CEA-related curriculum strongly preferred). The role is responsible for answering & routing incoming calls, welcoming visitors, and providing internal administrative, bookkeeping, and general support to multiple departments within the business. Location: Berkeley, CA Responsibilities: Maintain organized records related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, and be able to set-up processes, if needed. Greet visitors and maintain organized offices and work space. Make sure inbound calls and inquiries are directed to the appropriate department, and are followed-up on in a timely manner. Communicate with marketing and distribution partners as required, and participate in team meetings to understand all internal projects and deadlines. Assist management team to help identify areas that need administrative help; i.e. streamlining, training, process writing, bookkeeping (QuickBooks), etc. Facilitate the smooth operation of the business by ensuring administrative tasks and office inventory requirements are organized and completed on a timely basis.
